Conchs are caught by the local Bahamians and sold to restaurants and tourists.  We purchased some conch salad from a stand similar to this one in Marsh Harbour.

But we didn't depend on the locals to catch and cook our conch... when Ricky arrived, he gave it a try!  Needless to say, conch is not one of our favorite Bahamian foods (the Mango Daiquiri's are much better)!
