Regis and Kathy LIVE! on the Pride of America

The morning after a nice dinghy ride

Norfolk was huge!  Lots of ship yards and very secure Navy yards.  Barges and large shipping vessels became second nature to see in the channel.  Ricky, Beth's son, came to visit and we went to the Norfolk Cajun Festival.  Norfolk has mermaids throughout the town, and each one was "decorated" by a different artist.  There is even a book written that tells a story about each one.  We bought a poster of all the mermaids and had it framed for the boat.  We anchored at Hospital Point, between Norfolk and Portsmouth.  We ran into friends from Wilmington, Ron and Linda Gumm, who were headed around the Great Loop, and last we heard they were in Canada already.  We saw the live Regis and Kathy show aboard the Pride of America Cruise ship.
