Junkanoo

The Bahama's celebrate their independence on July 10th (same as Beth's birthday).  So on the evening of July 9th, they have a celebration to "bring in" the holiday.  There were awards, then an Ecumenical Service, the Royal Bahama Police Uniformed Band, then the Junkanoo Parade and fireworks. 

It started at 10 p.m. and wasn't over until about 2 a.m.  Hundreds of Bahamian families were there, singing, eating and socializing.
